Harrison - To have a Bulldog Puppy

Harrison, aged 6 was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Harrison asked for a British Bulldog puppy. His parents took him to view the puppies at a local breeder and he picked out a cute male puppy. The puppy, named Bonzo, is settling in nicely at the family home and a budding friendship is underway with Harrison.

The family said, "Thank you so much for granting Harry's Wish, it was the best thing in the world to see his face when he came home from school to see him. They are really close already and love playing together. You are such wonderful people what you do for all the children, and there are not enough words to say how much we thank you and appreciate what you have done, thank you once again. All our love from Harry and family x"

Abigail - To visit Rome

Abigail, aged 16, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Abbey wrote in her own words:

"The hotel was amazing and the room was fabulous. On the first day we went to find the Trevi Fountain, my number one place to visit in Rome and after getting slightly lost we found it and it was better than I imagined! Then we went for our first slice of proper Italian Pizza!

On Tuesday we took a walk to the Colosseum which was MASSIVE! We walked around it for a bit and then went inside to have a look and i could not believe what i was seeing it was amazing. After the Colosseum we went to see the Spanish Steps which were smaller than i expected but they we still amazing. While walking round we also saw many other little sights.

We went out for a meal just round the corner from our hotel and i tried some proper Italian Spaghetti with a tomato sauce, which was AMAZING.

We had a shopping day for us before going to the airport. All in all my wish was a BIG success and i would like to thank you and everyone else behind making my dream come true.
Thank you so much.  Abbey"

Amelie - To go to Disneyland Paris

Amelie, aged 5, was diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumour. Amelie’s Wish was to go to Disneyland Paris with her family. She flew with her mum, dad and brother to the magical world of Disneyland to stay in the Newport Bay Club Hotel. The family had an amazing time. Every ride they could go on, they went on twice! Amelie's favourite ride was the Tower of Terror and she loved getting all the princesses autographs too.  The family had a wonderful time and would love to go back in the future.

Daniel - To have a Helicopter Ride

Daniel, aged 11, was diagnosed with a Brain Stem Glioma in February of this year. Daniel's Wish was to ride in a helicopter. The family travelled down from Cardiff to Dorset where they stayed in a lovely Hotel. The following day we arranged for the family to be collected in a beautiful silver Rolls Royce, and they were whisked over to Bournemouth  Airport. Daniel got to fly in a helicopter down the coast up to Corfe and he even got the chance to fly the helicopter all on his own for quite some time.  Once the family had their feet back on the ground they told us all about their amazing flight. Daniel was presented with a Flying Certificate and a remote control helicopter. Daniel had the most wonderful day!

Calvin - To meet Chelsea Football Team

Calvin, aged, 14 was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Calvin is a huge supporter of Chelsea and with the support of Chelsea FC we were able to grant his wish.
Calvin and his mum flew from their home in Jersey to Gatwick Airport and then made their way to the Hotel. His mum had secretly organised for Calvin’s’ best friend James to come to London to share in the Wish. Calvin was stunned when he saw James in the hotel reception and was over the moon that he could share his Wish. They did a tour of the Chelsea FC stadium and museum, followed by some shopping at the Chelsea FC Mega Store.  They watched Chelsea play and just before the game finished Calvin was taken to meet the players in the tunnel. Calvin was delighted that he got his shirt and autograph book signed by the whole team and the substitutes. He had the most amazing time and one he will never forget.

Connor, aged 6, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth. Connor’s Wish was “To meet the real Santa Claus and see his workshop!” We arranged for Connor and his family to travel to Lapland to stay at the wonderful Santa Clause Hotel. Connor had a ride on a husky sleigh which he thoroughly enjoyed and the family had a lovely traditional Christmas Dinner before going to meet Santa, who arrived with Rudolph pulling a sleigh.  Connor had a fantastic time and has some very special memories!

James - To have a sunny holiday

James, aged 5, was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a type of Brain Tumour. His Wish was to go on family holiday to Spain because of his memories of a holiday he had just before he was diagnosed in June 2008 - this was his last memory of being well. The family flew to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. They all had an amazing time and had a well needed break. The weather was fantastic which meant they spent the whole time on the beach or in the pool. James had a wonderful time and most of all he enjoyed flying in an aeroplane!

Lauren - To meet Leona Lewis

Lauren, aged 13 was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Lauren is a huge Leona Lewis fan and has always wanted to meet her. GVA Grimley, our corporate supporters, struck gold and they were able to secure a last minute date for the meet to happen. We swung into action and put all the arrangements in place.

The family travelled to London to check in to a lovely hotel and, after Lauren had decided what to wear, the family were on their way to meet Leona. Lauren could not believe she was going to meet her idol. They had a wonderful time chatting and Leona presented Lauren with lots of signed goodies and even offered her priority tickets for next year’s tour. As Lauren loves to sing and perform she wanted to present Leona with a special gift, a copy of her very own CD!  Leona thought this was fabulous and made Lauren sign it for her. Lauren had the most amazing time and is still on cloud nine from the whole experience. It is certainly one she will never forget!
